The Bengals traveled to North Lakes Park in Denton on Saturday to participate in the Coach T Invitational hosted by Marcus High School. Starting the morning off were the varsity girls who competed in the elite race. Freshman Macy Wingard placed second overall setting a new school record of 17:15 continuing her early season success. Six of the seven varsity girls set new personal bests capping off a solid morning against some of the best runners in the state.
The varsity boys were short handed, but still had an impressive day. Leading the way for the Bengals was Joseph Arrona followed by Anthony Ignacio and Luke Lopez who both set new personal records.
All four teams will be back in action on September 10th at the McKinney Boyd Stampede. This will be a good sneak peek at the district course for our athletes. Results from The Coach T Invitational can be found at the link below.
