District Warm-Up Recap

The Bengals traveled to The Buff in Haltom on Friday for their last race before district. The Bengals continued to show gains and are trending in the right direction with the district championship only a week away.
The Varsity girls started the day off placing 7th overall racing a few runners short. Senior Amiyah Crosslin led the way, with freshman Chloe Sanchez setting a new personal record on an extremely difficult course. Numerous runners ran a better time on this course than they did a month ago.
Next up were the Varsity boys who were led by Junior Anthony Ignacio. Anthony has been a steady force and leader for the Bengals this year, and continued to show some major gains on Friday. Isaiah Forgey and Christian Davenport both ran one of their best races of the year, which is a good sign heading into the district championship next week.
The Bengals will be back in action on Friday at Myers Park in McKinney for the 5-6A District Championship. Results from The Buff can be found at the link below.
